  • Gr born Jewish (Herschel Grynszpan) murdered ambassador, Ernst vom Rath bc sister face discrimination in Gr -> Nazi government using this op to seek justice and launch a night of antisemitic violence by ordering a multiple attacks on Jewish synagogues, business and shops b/w the 9-10 Nov 1938 = Kristallnacht (night of broke glass)

  • 30000 Jews -> concentration camp

  • mass evacuation/ deportation of 4mil Jews over 4 years
  • financed by confiscating Jewish property
  • Feb 1942, plan was completely shelved and replaced in public policy by the “evacuation to the east” (ghettos)
