Moral development impacted by culture and social environment

21
Q

Evaluate method / validity

A

High internal validity - simple procedures, standardised and easy to replicate - lab experiment

Low ecological - unrealistic conditions, very controlled, children could have responded differently to what they would acc do irl

22
Q

Evaluate the sample

A

Both male and female
Large sample - more generalise

Children - can’t generalise to adults
All from urban background

23
Q

Evaluate data

A

Quantitative data - from ratings
Easy to compare between cultures and ages
Simplifies behaviour - we can only assume

24
Q

Evaluate ethnocentrism

A

2 different cultures used
But not representative of world
Individual and collectivist

25
Q

Ethical considerations

A
