Augustine speaks of three levels of knowledge or “vision”
- Corporeal

The human soul certain faculties
reason (intellect), will and memory.
For Augustine, man is essentially
a rational substance consisting of soul and body
provides the reason and the will, the materials
they need for their respective functions.
