Describe the course of the obturator nerve
A
Originates from L2-L4, passes through the fibres of the psoas major, then travels posterior to the common iliac and then through the obturator canal into the medial compartment where it divided into an anterior and posterior division

Which muscles do the anterior and posterior division of the obturator nerve supply
A
Anterior division - Supplies adductor longus, brevis, gracilis and pectinius - then pierces the fascia lata to become the cutaneous branch
Posterior division - Supplie the adductor brevis and Magnus
