Collateral Ventilation

A

The ventilation of alveoli which bypass the normal airways: -the interalveolar, the bronchioloalveolar and the interbronchiolar communications.
(The movement of air between the alveoli and bronchioles when airways are obstructed)

= The hold in thoracic expansion aids collateral ventilation
