Mammary Glands
any of the compound accessory reproductive organs of female mammals that occur in pairs on the chest or ventral surface and contain milk-producing lobes with ducts that empty into an external nipple, becoming functional when young are born and secreting milk for the duration of suckling.

Endothermic
Chemistry. noting or pertaining to a chemical change that is accompanied by an absorption of heat (opposed to exothermic ).
Hair
any of the numerous fine, usually cylindrical, keratinous filaments growing from the skin of humans and animals; a pilus.
Incisors
any of the four anterior teeth in each jaw, used for cutting and gnawing.
Canines
relating to the four pointed teeth, especially prominent in dogs, situated one on each side of each jaw, next to the incisors.
Molars
Also called molar tooth. a tooth having a broad biting surface adapted for grinding, being one of twelve in humans, with three on each side of the upper and lower jaws.
Sexual Reproduction
reproduction involving the fusion of a male and female haploid gamete
Placenta
he organ in most mammals, formed in the lining of the uterus by the union of the uterine mucous membrane with the membranes of the fetus, that provides for the nourishment of the fetus and the elimination of its waste products.
Gestation period
For mammals the gestation period is the time in which a fetus develops, beginning with fertilization and ending at birth. The duration of this period varies between species.
