How would you recalibrate your disco?
Measure a known distance with a tape and check its accuracy with the disto. If there is discrepancy I would send off to be re calibrated.
What is net internal area?
NIA is the usable area within the building measured to the internal face of walls at each floor level
What is Gross internal area?
Area of a building measured to the internal face of perimeter walls.
What is Gross External Area
GEA is the area of a building measured externally at each floor level

If a room wasn’t square how would you plot it on CAD
Measure to a point from two different areas and use triangulation. Where the lines meet is the point.
How to measure high brick elevations
Count bricks or take a measure from eaves

65mm high, 102.5mm width, 215mm length
What would you do if a measurement was out on auto cad?
Check my check dims, if these didn’t work I would arrange a re inspection.
What equipment did you use on measured survey?
Disto (calibrated) and tape.
What are the limitations of a disto?
Not good over long distances, sunlight can cause issues.
What would you use over long distances?
Trundle wheel, can be inaccurate.
