Q

what is the deconstruction stage in Metz Theory

A

where the genre starts to evolve and merge with others.
meaning the codes and conventions of the ‘classic’ documentary genre are less ‘clear-cut’ therefore meaning that some of the rules can be broken.
This results in a much wider variety of how films/ short films and programs can be made.
