BEFORE V1:
- Reject only if significant airspeed variations occur below indicated V1 and there is room to stop
AFTER V1:
- THR levers: TOGA
- Reaching V1: ROTATE
- SRS orders follow or 17.5*NU or full NU to prevent altitude loss

What are the Windshear memory items?

A
  • Call “Windshear TOGA!”
  • Set thrust levers to TOGA
  • AP if engaged: KEEP ON
  • SRS orders: FOLLOW; or 17.5*NU or max NU if req to prevent altitude loss
  • Do not change configuration until out of shear
  • Closely monitor flight path and speed
  • Recover smoothly to normal climb when out of windshear

LANDING:
- Go-around: perform

  • SPD: Max/Appropriate
  • Engine Mode Selector: IGN
  • “MAYDAY MAYDAY MAYDAY…”
  • TXPDR: 7700 consider
  • Diluter demand: Set to N position
  • If cabin altitude >14,000ft: Masks MAN ON
  • ECAM Actions
  • 2000ft above level off: retract speed brake
  • Set QNH

A
  • “TCAS! I HAVE CONTROL!”
  • AP: OFF
  • FD’s: OFF
  • Pitch orders: FOLLOW (respect the stall, GPWS and W/S warnings)
  • “Dragon xxx, TCAS RA”
  • When “CLEAR OF CONFLICT”: resume normal navigation or go-around as required (if on final approach)

If the safe conduct of the flight is impacted:
- AP/FD: off
- A/THR: off
- PITCH/THRUST:
Below THR RED ALT: 15
/TOGA
Above THR RED ALT and below FL100: 10/CLB
Above THR RED ALT and above FL100: 5
/CLB
-FLAPS: If FULL select F3, otherwise maintain
-SPEEDBRAKE: Check retracted
-L/G: Up
When at or above MSA, level off for trouble shooting

A

“PULL UP, TOGA!”

  • AP: Off
  • Pitch: Full up
  • Thrust Levers: TOGA
  • Speed Brake lever: Check Retracted
  • Bank: Wings level or adjust

If no “Pull up”, adjust flight path as required or set GPWS mode off for intentional actions

  • Flight Path: RECOVER SMOOTHLY
    If in clean config and below 20,000ft:
  • Flap 1: SELECT
    If risk of ground contact exists, smoothly establish a positive climb gradient

What are the Pilot Incapacitation memory items?

A

“I have control!”
- Takeover P/B: Use if required
- Establish the aircraft in a safe place
“ATTN PURSER TO COCKPIT PLEASE!”
- Get purser to secure the other pilot
- Declare an emergency to ATC
- Request assistance from any medically qualified pilot
- Ask if any company type qualified pilots are on board; otherwise
- Keep purser in cockpit to read the checklist
