uppercase = DOMINANT lowercase = RECESSIVE

homozygous dominant
what is Aa genotype ?
heterozygous
what are homologous chromosomes ?
two chromosomes (one from mom and one from dad) that have the same length, overall appearance and genes although the alleles may differ

what is the relationship between genes and proteins ?
genes provide instructions for a cell to make a certain protein

Difference between a carrier and a person who HAS a genetic disorder?
a carrier doesn’t show symptoms but can pass on disorder to its offspring
what is incomplete dominance ?
incomplete dominance is when two characteristics are blended; between two homozygous phenotypes. if a red and white flower makes a pink flower.
what is co dominance ?
neither is fully dominant or recessive; both is shown and fully expressed in their own ways. for example, cow prints
