Q
Setting up your microscope
A
- Ensure the microscope’s built-in light source is on. If not, adjust the mirror beneath the stage to direct light through the lens system.
- Lower the stage to its lowest position.
- Place a prepared slide at the center of the stage and secure it with the clips.
- Select the objective lens with the lowest magnification.
- Look through the eyepiece and use the coarse focus adjustment until cells on the slide are visible.
- Refine the focus with the fine focus adjustment for a clear view of the cells.
- If you want higher magnification, repeat the process with a higher magnification lens.
