Q

Setting up your microscope

A
  1. Ensure the microscope’s built-in light source is on. If not, adjust the mirror beneath the stage to direct light through the lens system.
  2. Lower the stage to its lowest position.
  3. Place a prepared slide at the center of the stage and secure it with the clips.
  4. Select the objective lens with the lowest magnification.
  5. Look through the eyepiece and use the coarse focus adjustment until cells on the slide are visible.
  6. Refine the focus with the fine focus adjustment for a clear view of the cells.
  7. If you want higher magnification, repeat the process with a higher magnification lens.
