Midterm 1 Flashcards
Behavioral Assesment
measurement of the target behaviour in behaviour modification. Direct (records it as it occurs) and Indirect (interviews, questionnaires)
Steps needed for B-mod program
1) defining the target behaviour
2) determining the logistics of recording
3) choosing a recording method
4) choosing a recording instrument
Interobserver agreement or inter observer reliability (IOA)
two people observe the same behaviour and give it the same rating/record it the same
Reactivity
when just recording that the behaviour happens decreases/changes the behaviour
Abscissa
x axis, usually time
Alternating treatments design
baseline-treatment rotate from day to day, baseline/treatment comparison is within the same time frame
ordinate
y axis. behaviour incidence
aversive stimulus
is the same as punisher
