Psychological Testing
+ It is the process of measuring psychology-related variables by means of device or procedures designed to obtain a sample of behavior
+ It is the administration of written, visual, or verbal evaluations to assess cognitive and emotional functioning of an individual or a group
Objective for Psychological Testing
The objective for testing is to obtain some form of measurement which is usually numerical in nature, with regard to an ability or attribute
Evaluator in Psychological Testing
The evaluator is NOT the key to the process and may be substituted for another tester without affecting the evaluation
Psychological Testing Process
The process can either be individualized or by group
What does psychological testing require?
Testing requires technician-like skills in terms of administering and scoring a test as well as in interpreting a test result
