Diagnostic Criteria
Performance of ADLs that require motor co-ord is substantially below that expected of person’s age/intelligence
Disturbance described significantly interferes with academic achievement or ADLs
Disturbance is not due to general medical condition (eg. CP or muscular dystrophy). Does not meet criteria for other major behavioural disorders
Can have comorbidities from DCD eg. ADHD
If intellectually impaired, motor difficulties are in excess of those normally associated with condition
