what is fine motor skills

non-locomotor skills ?
skills that dont require the bodies to be moving eg bending over and touch our toes and streahing

open= outdoor in open inviement closed= indoor closed inviroment
the difference between discrete series and continuous continuum
discrete= have a defined start and finish serial = complex skills that involves a number of discrete skills continious= do not have a definite start of finish
what is positive and negative skill transfer
positive = transferring a skill from one sport into another has a positive impact
negative =transfer of what the skill is being performed in one sport has a negative impact on an other
factors that affect quality of practice
time

experience
explain following, massed, whole, part, distributed practice
massed = practised for long periods of time whole= practising the skill in whole, not in parts. practiced entirely part= skill is broken down into parts of practice distributed = practice periods are broken up with periods of rest
what are the 3 stages of acquisition explain each one
congative= ability to solve problems in intellectual tasks, know rules. emphasis visually
associative = practice stage, knowing correct sequencing, movement skills becoming a more refined
inner feedback
autonomous = movement skill happens automatically. athlete focuses of tats and strategies
define- internal intrisic feedback
information a participant receives information from their own senses
external/ extrinsic feedback
feedback received from an outside sources eg coach spectator
