she constantly corrects and criticises other characters in the play even the inspector, who is a man of authority, stating that he is ‘a trifle impertinent’ this is a crude comment, especially towards someone who is trying to assist the community. She also describes Eva Smith as an impertinent what does ironic as you’re supposed to respect the dead and as a woman of high class, she’s supposed to be well mannered.
