  1. Faster wound healing. Because of the N acetyl D glucosamine also found in HA, chitin is good for wound repair and artificial skin.
  2. Gels because they take a lot of water. Chitin gels for wound dressings.
  3. Cell transplant to regenerate tissues.
  4. DRUG RELEASE: increased speed of drug release wen added to co polymer like PGA
