Q

Features of Ventral(basilar) surface of pons

A
  • Basilar groove: groove for basilar Artery
  • Transverse pontine (ponto-cerebellar) fibers: they form Middle cerebellar peduncle

Exit of Middle 4 Cranial Nerves (v,vi,vii,viii):
* Trigemnal N(v): from From lateral part of front of pons
* Abducent N(vi): from Ponto-medullary sulcus (between pyramid & pons)
* Facial N (vii) & Vestibulocochlear N (Viii): Cerebello-pontine angle
