What is Newton’s first law
A
A FORCE IS NEEDED TO CHANGE MOTION
If the resultant force on a stationary object is zero, it remains stationary. If the resultant force on a moving object is zero, it will carry on moving at the same velocity.

ACCELERATION IS DIRECTLY PROPORTIONAL TO RESULTANT FORCE.
