Ear Bandage

A

Place patient in sternal recumbency

Ask assistant to hold patients head to facilitate bandaging

Wear gloves

Padding on either side of ear & folded up to top of head

Bandage (figure of 8)

Mark position of ear

Checks (tension, neat, airway not restricted,eyes not covered, unaffected ear exposed)

Remove & Dispose PPE in clinical waste
