OBJECTION! Flashcards

1
Q

“I told the person I was just coming in for information.”

A

I’m really glad you did! Ya know, we can spend all night getting ready but never getting out the door. Have you ever gotten all dressed-up to go out alone on a Saturday night, but dilly-dallying around and ended-up just staying home? Why? (wait for response)

Going out alone, it’s just not as fun, is it? Its not about you doing this - this is easy! We’re just out having fun with friends - it would be great for you to join us! This is gonna be sooo fun! But some people, doing something new like this - that first event kinda scares ‘em.

Why is it important for you to build some new connections in your life? (wait for response) I get that! Is that going to happen all dressed-up and no place to go? (pause…) Let’s get you goin’, then we’ll pick a great first event to look forward to!

Q

“I’m out of town a lot.”

A

Me too! They send me to all of our cities. I usually do virtual events if I’m not in one of our main hubs. Where do you go? How often?

Our members are busy! Our E&A friends who travel a lot really love having everything ready to go - saves them a ton of time! Its the best! Just sign-up, show-up and have fun! We’re here almost everyday across the country - how easy is that?

Q

“I only have my driver’s license (no legal tender).”

A

Oh, I’ll wait while you get it.

Critical at beginning to establish Control and Financial Responsibility. Everyone today has some form of electronic payment with a Visa/MC logo. They are told by TM that they need to show this when they set the appointment. It could be a ‘fear of being sold’. Simply cover any identifying numbers with a finger or a piece of paper for privacy.

If they have privacy concerns, we really appreciate that! For their protection we confirm everyone’s photo ID matches their name and that they are responsible enough to have a checking account. That way when they go to events they’ll know everyone is safe, responsible and ready to have fun!

If they do not have a bank account, end the interview WITH HOPE - that we’d be excited to have them back when they get more financially established.

Q

True or False

“I can meet the members at Vollyball (or other public event) this weekend, right?”

A

False
Events and Adventures is a members-only club. One of the best parts is that everyone you meet has gone through this screening and joined the club. That way you know everyone you’ll meet at events is safe, single, financially stable, and they’re not here today-gone tomorrow.

We don’t do trials because you already know what vollyball is! Its not ‘what is vollyball’, but whose going to be there - right? And that’s going to change every week. We’re signing up new members almost everyday! The ones you’ll be most interested in will be the people who like the same things you do. Besides, you’re at your best when you’re having fun anyway!

We’re going to take care of all the details. It just comes down to - are you ready to just sign-up, show-up and have fun?

Q

True or False

“I live in a state where marijuana is legal. I can bring it to events, right?”

A

False.
Though marijuna is legal in many states, even in those legal states it represents a major liability risk. It is also considered inappropriate in most social venues. Use of marijuana at events is cause for immediate corrective action by our event staff. Repercussions may include club expulsion without refund.

Q

Multiple Choice

The appointment does not qualify for the club and you have decided to end the interview. The best way to end the interview is:

A. “You don’t qualify, goodbye.”
B. “Have you heard of Meetup?”
C. “We don’t think you’ll fit in here.”
D. “We should reset this to next week!”

A

B
Its rare that you have to end an interview but it does happen. Whether its no valid ID, soberity issues, behavior or some other factor, if someone is married or if they might pose a serious risk to current members then we cannot enroll them.

In todays world its easy to write a bad review so how we handle this is important. Always end with Hope.

Meetup is a good way to offload someone who we cannot enroll. Meetup is a free online volunteer group that accepts everyone. Note that Meetup has no vetting process or background check; they attract a component of low-income, or polymerous, and/or married people.

44
Q

True or False

Before setting the appointment, prospects are told by Telemarketing that they must show a form of photo ID and a piece of finacial verificaion (like a credit or debit card).

A

True
Whether by phone or by text, each person is told that they need to show photo identification and a credit or debit card.
