Name 2 founding values and how operations effects them

A
  1. Our doors are always open- if there is an emergency, we can call our operations department and they will be able to help us (i.e. truck through front door)
  2. We help build our communities one neighborhood at a time- by opening up a branch we take an existing location and create business to put money back into the community, and provide a service.

A

Ava Joubert ~ Oversees department as well as real estate acquisitions and leasehold improvements.

Rachel Miller ~ Oversees the day to day branch maintenance issues, cost Savings initiatives, utility reduction initiatives, cell phone issues/requests, branch work orders, vendor relations, FQI audits etc.

Vin Kelly ~ Responsible for repair and maintenance items at most branches, trade dress compliance, etc.

20/20 Vision

A

The 20/20 Vision is a company wide initiative to save 4% in utility usage and 4% in utility costs over 5 years. When we accomplish this goal as a company we will have saved $50 Million.

Ø Leaking faucets, sprinklers or hose bibs need to be fixed immediately
Ø Running toilets are a waste of valuable resources and need to be fixed immediately
Ø Make sure the thermostat is turned down at night
Ø Why burn exterior lights during the day?
Ø Turn off lights when you leave the room
Ø The garage heater (if you have one) needs to be off when the doors are open

What is the importance of having a safety committee?

A

The purpose of a safety committee is to bring workers and managers together to achieve and maintain a safe, healthful workplace. A safety committee assists the employer and makes recommendations for change. To comply with all OSHA mandated rules and procedures to assist in the safety of our workplace.

What would you do if an OSHA inspector showed up?

A

1) Ask for credentials.
2) Determine why they are there. Complaint? Standard visit?
3) Make sure a member of management or safety committee is present the entire inspection.
4) Correct any violations you can on the spot.
5) Get a copy of their completed inspection sheet.
6) Contact your safety committee chairman, or Operations immediately.
