Osmosis And Diffusion Flashcards
List the terms in order from lowest to highest complexity.

List the three steps to focus a microscope properly.
- Put the slide on the stage and hold it in place with the stage clips.
- Look at the slide on low power through the objective lens and use the coarse adjustment knob to bring the stage as close as possible.
- Use the fine adjustment knob to focus it so you can see it clearly.
What organells does the plant cell have that thd animal cell doesn’t?
The cell wall and cloroplast
What organelle does the animal cell have and not the plant cell?
Lysosomes
What is the cell wall?
The cell wall is the layer around the plant cell that gives it support
What are chromosomes?
Chromosomes are in the nucleus and they contain DNA
What is cytoplasm?
Cloroplast is the jelly like substance in the cell which supports the organelles. Reactions occur here
What is the nucleus?
The nucleus controls all the cells activity and contians DNA.
What is the nucleolus?
The nucleolus is the ball inside the nucleus which contains RNA which is needed to make proteins.
What is the mitochondria?
Mitochondrias give the cell energy and is also known as the powerhouse of the cell.
What is the E.R.?
E.R. are tube like stuctures around the cell which transports proteins.
What is the nuclear membrane?
The nuclear membrane is the layer around the nucleus and controls the ins and outs of the nucleus.
What is the cell membrane?
The cell membrane is the layer around the cell controling the ins and outs.
What are cloroplasts?
Cloroplast are found in plant cell and create photosynthesis.
What are lysosomes?
Lysosomes are small sacs known as suiside sacs which gets rid of waste. It is found in the animal cell only.
