Q

What is the method for finding the density of a regular shape?

A
  1. Use a ruler to measure height, width and length of shape
  2. Times together length, width and height to find the volume of the shape
  3. Weigh the object in grams to find the mass
  4. Use density = mass/volume to work out density

Q

What is the method for finding density of a liquid?

A
  1. Measure the beaker by itself and then add the water and measure again. The difference between the masses is the mass of the liquid
  2. Put the liquid into measuring cylinder and to find the volume

Q

What is the archimedes principle?

A

If an object is submerged in a liquid, the level of the liquid will rise. The volume of fluid displaced will be equal to the volume of the object submerged.
