Pronoun
Takes place of a noun
An antecedent is the noun that a pronoun stands for.
Noun
Names a person place, thing, animal, or idea.
Verb
It’s expressed action (action verb) or links the subject to another word in the sentence (linking verb)
ADVERB
It modifies a verb, an adjective, or another adverb.
Adverbs tell how, what what extent, when, and where.
Preposition
Anything you can do to a cloud
It relates to a noun or pronoun (it’s object) to some other part of the sentence
An object may be compound
The preposition, it’s object, and any modifiers make up a prepositional phrase
Conjunction
It connects words or word groups.
The coordinating conjunctions are and, but, or, nor, for and yet.
Interjection
It shows sudden, usually strong, feeling.
