Deep to the pectoralis major
Action: depresses and protracts scapula, downward/medial rotation of scapula
Trapezius
kite like muscle posterior (has 4 parts)
Action: elevates, depresses, adducts/retract, lateral/upward rotation of scapula, elevates clavicle
Serratus Anterior
sawtooth origin on ribs
Action: protracts scapula, lateral/upward rotation of scapula

Levator Scapulae
from cervical vertebrae to vertebral border of scapula near superior angle
Action: elevates scapula
Rhomboid Major/Minor
there is a major and minor from spinous process of superior thoracic vertebrae to vertebral border of scapula
Action: adducts scapula, medial/downward rotation of scapula
