What are the charcterisitcs of a perfectly competitive market?
A
- Infinite number of buyers and sellers (all firms are small so none have market power)
- Each firm is a price taker
- Producers and consumers have perfect information
- All goods are homogenous (identical)
- Firms are profit maximisers
