When must a PRO be undertaken?
- All Make ups.
- Incidents that involve persons reported or trapped.
- Incidents of shortfall of operational equipment, procedure or personnel.
- When personnel, equipment or procedure have performed to a high standard.
- An accident at an incident that had required either a long report or a senior accident investigation.

Within how many days does a PRO have to take place?
Within 28 days of the incident.

IC1 of incidents up to and including 4 pumps.

Does a PRO process include the command function of six pumps and above?
NO!
A separate review is covered under a Performance Review of the Command (PRC).

To provide feedback to individuals, teams and the organisation with the express aim of improving performance.

What must the facilitator ensure within the PRO process?
- The incident or simulation is fully discussed and that the DMM is used as a template for discussion.
- All relevant topics are explored, This is to include observation, on behaviour, attitude and any other relevant interaction.
- The resulting actions are agreed, recorded and undertaken.
- The outcome of the review is recorded on the IMP database.

What is good practice for the facilitator to ensure for a PRO ?
All relevant Policy notes are available to ensure that operational procedure pertinent to the incident being debriefed were followed.

- The initial crew.
- Representatives for additional appliances.
- A representative from the Command Unit Team.

- A representative from the Brigade mobilising control.
- A representative from other attending agencies and services.
