Callous lack of concern for others, relationships are shallow and short-lived. Depart from social norms & impulsive, can be aggressive and often abuse substances
histrionic PD
Self dramatisation, seek attention and enjoyment with shallow and labile effect. often flirtatious and seductive and manipulate to draw attention
narcissistic PD
Grandiose self-importance, fantasies of unlimited success and expect others to admire them, often exploit others- vulnerable to criticism
Borderline PD
Self image unclear chronic 'empty' feelings intense fear of abandonment relationships are intense and unstable suicidal attempts and self harm
anankastic PD
Preoccupation with details and rules with inhibiting perfectionism.
Rigid and inflexible with beliefs and morals- easily stressed and inefficient
usually egosyntonic (not distressed)
anxious/avoidant PD
Persistently tense
feels socially inferior, unappealing and inept
preoccupied with rejection- avoid social contact
sensitve to negative feedback
dependent PD
Allow others to take responsibility and fel unable to take care of themselves. Subordinate, undemanding and fear abandonment.
