Q

What are the reactants of photosynthesis?

A

Sunlight, Water, & Carbon Dioxide. The sunlight energy combines with the reactants (water & carbon dioxide) to form glucose (sugar) and oxygen.

Q

How do each reactant enter the organism during photosynthesis?

A

Carbon dioxide - passes through the holes in the leaves called stomata

Water - absorbed by the roots & travels to the leaves

Sunlight - absorbed by chlorphyll in the leaves (which is located in the chloroplasts)

Q

How does the process of photosynthesis occur from beginning to end?

A
  1. Sunlight is absorbed by the cholorphyll in the chloroplast during the daytime.
  2. Water and minerals is absorbed through the roots & transferred to the chloroplasts in the leaves.
  3. Carbon Dioxide enters the leaves through the stomata.
  4. The water & carbon dioxide combine with the light energy to create Oxygen and Glucose (sugar) .
  5. Oxygen is released as a waste product. Glucose is stored in the plant.

A

ATP

17
Q

What is a usable form of energy which help cells preform a wide range of function during celluar respiration?

A

ATP

18
Q

What are the reactants of celluar respiration?

A

Oxygen and Glucose

19
Q

What are the products of celluar respiration?

A

ATP, water, carbon dioxide

20
Q

What are the entire process of Celluar Respiration from beggining to end?

A
  1. In the cytoplasm, glucose is broken down into smaller molecules releasing a small amount of energy
  2. In the mitochondria, the smaller molecules combine with oxygen
  3. When the oxygen and glucose is mixed together it creates ATP, water, and carbon dioxide
  4. ATP is the energy and water is used in photosyntisis for plants or by peeing it out for the animals, for the carbon dioxide the plants use it for photosynthesis and the animals breath it out
