Q

Describe the movements of a sagittal plane?

A

The sagittal plane divides the body from top to bottom (vertically). In a sport related situation the movement would be flexion and extension. An example of this would be kicking a football.

Q

Describe the movements of a frontal plane?

A

The frontal plane divides the body from top to bottom (vertically). In a game related situation an example would be bowling in cricket. The movement however in this situation would be abduction & adduction.

Q

Describe the frontal axis?

A

The frontal axis runs
from the side to side, formed by transverse planes (flex-extension). An example of this is a sport related situation would be a summersult.

Q

Describe the sagittal axis?

A

The sagittal axis runs from back to front, formed by transverse planes (add-abduction). An example of this in a sport related situation would be a cartwheel.

Q

Describe the vertical axis?

A

The vertical axis runs from top to bottom, formed by sagittal & frontal planes. An example of this in a sport related situation would be a trampoline twist.
