Plant and Animal adaptations Flashcards

1
Q

Describe the epiphytes, and their adaptations in rainforests.

A

Epiphytes are leaves which are attached to the branches of trees high up in the Canopy layer, and they get their nutrients from water vapour and air.
* They’re adapted in there, because they’ve got aerial roots, which gets moisture from the humid atmosphere, rather than relying on ground water.
