Q

What is specificity ?

A

Needs to be relevant to your sport:
- Same energy system
- Same muscle fibres
- Same skills
- Same movement

Q

What is progressive overload ?

A
  • Gradually increasing intensity and time of training to improve fitness
  • E.g Progression of power: Heavier weights
  • Every week the weight is increased
  • But too much overload = risk of injury
