Q

how does CBT (+CSE) work?

A
  • psychologists builds a rapport with patient to identify irrational thoughts and triggers for psychotic symptoms
  • CSE looks at building on strategies the patients already use
  • then gets patients to identify own triggers
  • then aims to find 2 strategies ( cognitive or behavioural) for each symptom
  • gives patient homework to consolidate what they learned
