1) Delusions
2) Hallucinations
3) Disorganized speech
4) Grossly disorganized or catatonic behaviors
5) Negative Sx (v emotion expression or avolition)

What are the negative symptoms (4)
A
1) Dimished emotional expression
2) Avolition (loss of goal oriented behaviour)
3) Alogia (v amount of spontaneous speech or a tendency to produce speech impoverish in content)
4) Anhedonia

What is brief psychotic disorder?
A
- One or more symptom from criterion A
- Greater than 1 day and under 1 month of symptoms with full return to premorbid level of function.

What is schizoaffective disorder?
A
- Hallmark is the presence of either depressive or manic sx concurrent with sx characteristic of schizophrenia, such as delusions, hallucinations, or disorganized speech.
- Hallucinations or delusions must be present for 2+ weeks in absence of mood sx, but mood sx must be present for majority of illness
