AWD SUV because I’m practical and my friends consider me to be very dependable and reliable.
If you could wake up anywhere tomorrow and do anything where would you go and what would you do?
Maui - although the wildfires happened last year, I know reconstructing after such disaster can take a long time and I would like to help them rebuild.
Connect it to Maria hurricane while you were at FSU - tried to collect as many items as possible to send over to PR, very difficult time. Had no contact with family for wks

Dr. Seuss - I feel like we both have a lot of perseverance. His first book was rejected 27 times and he continued on despite this. Failure and rejections are inevitable in life and I would definitely want to talk to him about how he kept his motivation in the midst of these disappointing occurrences
If you could be any kitchen utensil what would it be and why?

f you could create a “bucket list” of 3 things you want to do in your life, what activities would be on that list and why would you choose those activities?
1) Travel more - having studied abroad in Japan and Prague showed me how important it is to get out of my comfort zone and experience new cultures. I would love to visit Australia, Sweden, Hong Kong, China, and Spain
2) Continue pursuing my passion and calling for medicine - life is too short to be spent working towards something you are not passionate about, something that doesn’t motivate you every morning to get up and continue on no matter the circumstances
3) Go scuba diving! - I love the ocean and have never had the honor to do this - as humans we are always on land but there is so much beauty under the sea; thus I would want to get up close to marine life and see, feel, and exp what the ocean has to offer
If you could travel 1,000 yrs into the past or 1,000 yrs into the future, which would you choose and why?
Travel 1,000 yrs in the future if I was able to in order to bring back knowledge on likely scientific medical advancements for diseases that are very difficult to treat such as PD and AD. My grandfather was always a very physically active man and seeing him struggle just to get dressed or to eat these past years as a result of PD has been very challenging to me. Also, when I turned 20, I went to my grandparents house per our tradition, but my grandmother did not remember why I was there; it was the first of many dates she had forgotten as a result of AD. Seeing two of the people I care about most become so drastically affected as a result of neurodegenerative conditions inspires me to inquire more about such conditions.
3 inventions/discoveries from the past 100 years have most impacted the field of medicine or most important medical technology discovered/invented.
- Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to help diagnose diseases and injuries w/out radiation exposure
- Insulin pump - reduces the need for pts to inject insulin daily
- Antibiotics - diseases that once killed millions can now be adequately controlled w/abx. Also, post surgical infection can be decreased through iv abx administration, soaps like hibiclens and sterilization procedures
Are you a Square, Circle, or Triangle?
Bit of a hybrid between a square and a circle - Mostly a square because I consider myself to be very organized and detailed oriented but a bit of a circle because I am very perceptive and considerate of other people’s feelings
If you could meet any three people (dead or otherwise) who would you choose and why?
1) Anne Franke - have always been interested in her story and after going to the Anne Franke house and a concentration camp while studying abroad, I would really like to sit down and first express my sincere admiration for her strength and courage and ask her more about her life before Nazi germany
2) Dr. Seuss - I feel like we both have a lot of perseverance and would love to just sit down with him and talk about what his intrinsic motivation was to continue on despite his first book being rejected 27 times
3) My paternal grandparents - I have a beautiful relationship with my maternal grandparents and would love the opportunity to meet my paternal grandparents
What’s your role in the family?
I feel like as the first person in my family to graduate from college and being one of the only ones who speaks fluent English, I am their “problem solver” - whether it pertains to calling somewhere with no interpreters or going to appointments with my grandparents, I am always happy to assist and help whenever I am able to
If you were stuck on an island alone and you could have three things, what would they be?
- Books to keep myself entertained (like fantasy, romance, romantic comedies; colleen hoover, r.s grey, sarah maas)
- Endless supply of food
- Endless supply of water
How would someone who doesn’t like you describe you?
I think someone who does not like would describe me as irritating because I tend to be one of the few that asks follow up questions. Reflecting on this, I can see how it may make me look nervous or perhaps unconfident. But I’m actually trying to get clarification to either confirm I understand a concept or in a workplace setting, clarify the expectations so I may complete my work to the best of my ability. For example, when I began training as an MA, I asked questions about the different scenario that would come up when doing prior authorizations, instead of just “guessing” I asked my mentor when I had doubts because one single question could have meant the difference between the pt getting their medication approved or not
What’s a recent book you’ve read? What character would you be and why?
