Quiz 2 Flashcards
Min Diag Shoulder
(2) -AP with internal rotation
- AP with external rotation
Humeral Axial Angle
1) line through and parallel to midshaft of humerus 2)Line through the humeral head from apex of greater tuberosity to med. margin of surface
- measure inferior angle
Glenohumeral Joint Space
AP Externally rotated
Sup, middle, inferior aspects
Normal: 4-5 mm
Acromiohumeral Space
AP externally rotated
Distance from inf. surface of acromion process to sup. articular surface of humeral head.
7-11 mm
Acromioclavicular Joint Space
AP/PA/AC view
Ave 3mm; less than 2-3 mm difference R-L
Coracoclavicular Distance
AP shoulder
Norm: greater than 12; no more than 5 mm diff b/t sides
Min Diag Elbow
(2) -AP
- Lateral
Carrying Angle
Two lines, one through midshaft of the humerus, other through midshaft of the ulna. Normal angle= 154-178 degrees. Ave= 169 (medial angle)
Humeral Angle
Humeral shaft line and humeral articular line
measure medial side angle
Normal= 154-178
Ulnar Angle
Ulnar shaft line and humeral articular line
Measure medial angle (distal)
Normal= 72-99
Anterior Humeral Line
Lateral elbow
Line tangential to ant. humeral cortex should intersect at ant. 1/3 of capitullum. Capitullum should not be post. to line
Radiocapitellar Line
Lateral Elbow
A line thru the shaft of the radius should extend thru the radial head and mid-capitellum.
Min DIag Wrist
(3) -PA
-Medial Palmar Oblique
-Lateral
SAME AS HAND
Ulnar Variance
Distal radius projects 0-3mm beyond the ulna
PA Radioulnar Angle
PA wrist
One line tangential to tip of radial styloid and base of ulnar styloid
Second line thru and parallel to radial shaft; measure proximal ulnar side angle
Norm: 72-95
