Question 1

Landing Checklist (5 Items)

Answer 1

• Lights out (verifying no warning lights)
• Needles Married (Tach and engine)
• 3 in the green (oil pressure, oil temp, cylinder head temp)
• Fuel for the mission (Fuel gauges and also check fuel timer based off time we calculated before hand)
• Amps good (Not showing a drain)

Question 2

Takeoff Checklist (8 Items)

Answer 2

• Frictions off
• Clear left, right, above
• Lights out (verifying no warning lights)
• Needles Married (Tach and engine)
• 3 in the green (oil pressure, oil temp, cylinder head temp)
• Fuel for the mission (Fuel gauges and also check fuel timer based off time we calculated before hand)
• Amps good (Not showing a drain)
• Once hovering make sure that you aren’t pulling to much power.

Question 3

Shutdown (3 items)

Answer 3

• Collective down, RPM 70-75%, Friction ON
• Cyclic and Pedals neutral, Friction ON
• Cool down timer started

Question 4

Startup (6 Items)

Answer 4

• Good start
• Alternator ON
• Clutch ENGAGED
• Start timer
• Set RPM 50-60%
• Starter Light OUT

Autorotation

• “Eyes outside/Entering Auto in 3-2-1”
