Q

What can Infa-red Radiation do?

A

Infa-red Radiation can be used to as vision to see in the dark
IR also increases the vibrational energy of molecules which causes an increase in heat. This is possible because of its frequency.

As the mass increases the vibration decreases
If the strength of the bond increases then the vibration increases as well.

[NOT NEEDED AS MUCH BUT IF YOU GOT EXTRA BRAIN SPACE THEN MEMORISE]
(would make you feel warm as your skin absorbs the radiation)

Q

What are the Diatomic molecules features with radiation?

A

Diatomic Molecules are held by a single bond that can only stretch and compress.
The atoms pull apart and push together
Diatomic Molecules have threshold frequencies that they vibrate at, after the threshold is met. most of the radiation passes through.
