A

-He was a Roman soldier
-A priest came to his home
-Didnt tell authorities about the priest
-Wanted to figure out why priest stuck with his religion
-Authorities found out alban was giving shelter
-The priest’s message was so powerful alban became a Christian
-He ended up dying for being a Christian
-One of the executioners saw how strong albans love for christianity was and ended up dying for it

Who was saint Augustine and what did he do?

A

-He was a monk
-Pope gregory the great sent 40 benedictine monks(including augustine)
-Was sent from Rome to preach the english
-When preaching he heard how fierce the english were and the monks became worried
-The Pope told them to continue their mission as they will get a greater reward in heaven
-Pope gregory managed to convince some french monks to join the monks from Rome
-They were welcomed into England by English King, Ethelbert
-Ethelbert’s wife ‘Bertha’ was already a christian
-The king got baptised
-Augustine was made archbishop of
English and his ‘see’(diocese) was Canterbury

-Proper name is ‘Religious Society of Friends’

-Do not believe in any form of fighting
-Bible isnt the actual ‘word of God’,it is a very inspirational book
