  • Plot poorly managed. Mary escaped to east anglia. Edward died on the 6th June and orders were give to sheriffs and JPs to raise forces. 10th July lady jane grey pronounced queen
  • Mary appeals to charles v for assistance. Mary moved to framlington castle and had forces around 20,000 bolstered by the earl of oxford. In london the council left the tower and said they had fallen into error, northumberland leaves london to face mary
  • Northumberland lost support when he left london
