how do you measure brown sugar
you scoop it out with a spoon and pack it
how do you measure white sugar
scooping it out until the measuring cup/spoon is overflowed and the level it off with a kinife
how do you measure butter
- the measuring amount is on the packing of the butter
- scoop it into the measuring spoon and level it off
- you could use water displacement for example get 1/2 cups of water and then but your butter in, you will have 1/2 cups of butter once the water rises to 1 cup
how do your measure flour
stir flour in bag and then scoop it out with a spoon then level it off
how do you measure liquids
using a liquid measuring cup, look over at the measuring marks and then pour
if it’s in a measuring spoon, then pour over a bowl or the sink
how do you measure syrups
dip measuring cup/ spoon into hot water them measure like normal
what are the two types of recipes? name some characteristics
what is the difference between a dry measuring cup and a wet measuring cup? why do you use them
a wet measuring cup is used because it can be heated up and has a spout and handle for pouring
