Internal Validity
A
- Refers to how well a study measures what it sets out to measure at the start of the research

Extreneous Variables
A
- Any controls/variables that could interfere with the behaviour that is being studied

Situational Variables
A
- Any factors within the environment that can affect participants behaviour/results
*This could be noise, time of day, temperature etc

Individual Differences
A
- Any differences between participants not accounted for

Reasearcher Effects
A
- If the researcher acts differently to different participants/conditions (e.g. way instructions are delivered)
- It can influence different behaviours
- They should not give any cues to participants about what is expected of them that could encourage behaviours

Demand Characteristics
A
- When the participant figures out the aim, so behaves in a way that they think the researcher wants to see
- Unatural behaviour

Social Deirability
A
- When a participant bhaves in a way that makes them seem socially desirable and acceptable but this may not be their truthful behaviour
