Q

Australia (natives)

A

There was a huge amount of tension between immigrants such as Scots and the natives to australia. The British gave the natives to Australia “the aborigines” although this was not used by the natives themselves.

Land disputes were the main cause of problems between the Scottish settlers and the native people. Scots wanted the land for farming and building towns however this meant taking aboriginal land including sacred and holy places.
