Question 1

Appeal by a member

Answer 1

1. Within 10 days of the quarterly performance meeting
2. To/From or email to meet with reviewer’s supervisor
3. Copy of appeal in members electronic personnel file

Question 2

Reviewer’s supervisor

Answer 2

1. Within 21 days of the written appeal Reviewer’s supervisor meets with reviewer, rater and the member
2. Makes appeal decision at the time
3. If review is to be changed, reviewer’s supervisor or designee contacts EES Coordinator to purge appealed performance evaluation
4. Reviewer’s supervisor creates new evaluation
5. Member can add written comments which are included in rating
6. Revised rating and comments submitted in electronic file

Question 3

Appeal to Colonel

Answer 3

1. Appeal within 10 days of the Reviewer’s supervisor decision in writing
2. Colonel establishes a 3 member board of staff/commissioned officers
3. Board reviews written documentation and consults with member, rater and reviewer
4. Within 21 days of receipt of the appeal submit recommendation to Colonel
5. Colonel decides and submitted to member’s electronic file by EES coordinator or designee.
6. Decision forwarded to Member, rater, reviewer, member’s station/unit commander, division commander
