What actions should the WM take if the station safe key is lost or mislaid?
The WM is to inform their station or group manager immediately and a report forwarded as soon as possible.

Can a manager open a Ff’s locker without with his/her consent?
Only if opening the locker is part of a discipline case or other inquiry. In such an event, an inventory must be recorded in the presence of a witness.

What must the OIC ensure when accepting to store money in the station safe from groups such as the welfare fund?
The OIC must ensure the money is handed to them in a sealed container.

What actions must the OIC take if any loss or theft of personal or brigade equipment is reported?
The OIC is to investigate immedaitley and inform their SM or GM without delay. If theft is suspected, the police are to be informed immediately and a crime number obtained.
Details of the loss should then be sent to the @sation Security’ mailbox.

Station Managers are responsible.

No!

Under ‘normal’ circumstances, when is it acceptable to allow personal relatives and friends to visit fire stations or Brigade establishment?
Only at change of watch and only for short periods with the consent of the WM.

What actions should you take if discover an unauthorised person/persons on Brigade premises?
They are to be challenged immediately by any employee of the Brigade. If the watch manager is not satisfied with the explanation given (or none is offered) the police are to be informed. The station and group manager are to be informed of the incident and the action taken.
