Evaporation is used to separate a soluble solid (salt from a liquid) (water) the water boils and evaporates leaving only salt

A
A mixture is made up of two substances that are mingled together but no chemically combined

A
A mixture of two different items salt and water is a mixture. Sugar will gradually melt and mix into water sand will not dissolve into water. Filtered and the residue substance is left

A
Used to separate mixtures that are dissolved in a solution EG. Colours in a ink. The inks separate into there individual colours.

A
To separate to miscible liquids or a soluble solid from a liquid advantage. We get to keep the solid and the liquid
