Set 1 Flashcards
Adjacent Angles (54)
Two angles that have a common side and a common vertex but do not overlap.
Alternate Exterior Angles (54)
A special pair of angles formed when a transversal inersects two lines. AEA lie on opposide sides of the transversal and are outside the lines.
Alternate Interior Angles (54)
A special pair of angles formed when a transversal intersects two lines. AIA lie on opposite sides of the transversal and are between the lines.
Altitude (20)
The perpendicular base of a triangle to the opposite vertex. Also called height.
Angle (18)
Two rays with the same endpoint. Th endpoint of the rays is the vertex of the angle.
Area (8)
The size of the surface of a flat shape. The area of a surface is measured in square units.
Vertex (19)
A point of an angle, polygon, or polyhedron where two or more lines, rays or segments intersect.
Transversal (54)
A line that intersects oneor more other lines in a plane.
Absolute Value (1)
The distance from the graph of a number to the origin on a number line.
Acute Angle (18)
An angle whose measure is between 0 and 90.
