A
A repetitive motion about the equilibrium position.

What is a damped oscillation?
A
When a resistive force removes energy from an oscillation

How does damping affect angular velocity?
A
The period remains the same but as damping increases, so does the rate of decay of the motion.

A
When a system is driven by a periodic force external to the system.

What is resonance.
A
Resonance - When the driving frequency = the natural frequency

How do you reduce resonance?
A
Design structures, so that natural frequencies are significantly out of the frequencies of things like wind or walking.
