What is Kussmaul breathing?
Deep, rapid respirations due to acidosis.
What are the s&s of hyperglycaemia?
Polyuria
Polydipsia
Increased appetite
Fruity odour of ketones (nail varnish remover) on the breath
Lethargy/confusion/unconsciousness
Dehydration, dry mouth and poss circulatory failure due to hypovolaemia
Hyperventilation
Kussmaul breathing
Weight loss

Sweating
